Title: New Police theme - customized staff
Post by: Little Jo on January 11, 2009, 20:29:28
Polymobil already introduced with the new theme the change of uniform color in Germany from green to blue in 2009 (some federal states already started earlier). This was motivation for me to customize the new figures (1) to more localized variants (using coat of arms of my living federal state), (2) enhance the team be female (or male) variants where missing, and (3) to extend the staff by squads we already knew from the past and that had been introduced at the previous police theme. So here are the results.

A good looking team you've got there. I love the female customs as well. Geobra seems to be unable to envisage a fair number of female participans, I'm afraid  :'(

Hey those are really great looking . I really like how you set it all up . Could or would you give and overall picture of the scene . It looks like you used the new construction road bases and i was wondering how well they fit together to make a street ?

Very nice layout and customs Little Jo, love the staging of your scenes and the way you use the building in the background.

Thanks for the nice feedback :D

I would, but unfortunately I have already broke down the scenery  :-\

Anyway if you're just interested in the construction road bases I can provide you an extra pic (maybe this evening or tomorrow) showing the road (because to be honest I moved it around for making the photos so there hasn't been a "fixed" scenery" with the road being part of it).

Very nice organisation and set of customs Jo.

Now I'm wondering if you have River or Harbour Police, and some Helicopter Police?

Actually I do have a river/harbour Police, but there are still some very small pieces to be customized, so they haven't been finished so far but will be posted soon. (Another reason is that for those I have to setup another scenery to be presented in.)

But no helicopter police. Since also the new police theme just used the old small helicopter and I already did another helicopter customizing with the large "cool" helicopter (will be posted soon), I decided to omit a police helicopter crew.

These look great, Little Jo.

Did you model them off the police of your home country?

Playmobil publishes "SWAT" units for the American market, but the Playmobil SWATS don't look much like our black-costumed SWAT troopers.

I've been waiting for somebody to clean up the American police set!

Yes, I did. As Playmobil is a German company the original figures already looks quite right to the real live ones. So I added just some further details. (Although it must be stated that depending on the federal state the uniforms looks a little bit different.)

About the SWAT team I'm not sure because so far I've seen only German SWAT teams with the old uniform. But anyway, those looks like I suppose how the real live (should) looks like ;D

Attached a detail view of the assembled road pieces. Hope this helps.

Construction becomes more stable of you assemble the pieces overlapping, respecially the middle of the road mark.

Those customs are VERY impressice, Jochen.  It's difficult, impossible even, to tell where Playmobil ends and your work begins.  The photos too are, as ever, excellent.  Maybe Playmobil should look at your photos as a guide for their catalogues.
