A different picture angle of James painting, notice no runs in the paint, that's because they are professionals :)9!

Great photostory, Bill, and I love the detail you've put in it, even down to the protective covers for the jacks. They're excellent painters, too - as you say, no runs! :)

Hm, seems that the covers are quite real for self purposes: didn't you, Bill, paint the vehicle in real life, so I use they are just left over from the real paint job, aren't they?
Anyway a really nice and realistic setup.

Hi Little Jo!
No, I didn't paint the ATV at all. I removed the existing factory painted diagrams, but made it look like the Klicky City Body shop did an awesome job ;)! I don't paint any items. Thanks for the positive encouragement.

Hello Bill :),
Excellent pictures and great attention to detail ! I was quite suprised to see the red ATV and couldnt think which set it came from at first. That was untill I realised you had removed the factory printed stickers. To this very day I havent found such an effective way as yours :wow: Would you mind sharing your secret please  :wow: :)9

Beautiful! Isn't it amazing what scenes Playmobil have made it possible to recreate, if you have the imagination to set them up? Who'd have thought kids would want to simulate an auto-paint shop, yet it's all there!
I'm wondering now if any villains have a similar paintshop to disguise their stolen vehicles...
One small concern, is James standing on a bench in full compliance with current Health & Safety in the Workplace practices? The hose from the spray-gun appears to present a potential trip and fall hazard, which, compounded with the extra height of the bench, could cause bruising and possibly a nasty chafe.
I recommend the use of a handrail on the bench, and a safety harness suspended from the ceiling to revent a fall, as outlined in paragraph 76 subsection (e) of the HSAW Act 1974, as enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and
consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons.

Martin,
You're not suggesting a Playmo chop-shop?

Suits the need for a quality business of changing looks and #'s of souped-up cars .
Great set up by the way Bill . I am so glad the Picture display is working out for you . It is great to see what you are setting up in all its detail :)9

Thank you Tim! A compliment coming from a customizing specialist like yourself is truly an honor :)! I don't paint any Playmobil, but if the vehicle is the correct color to start, & it only has factory painted diagrams, I remove the images by using 2000, 1500, 1000, grit wet & dry sandpaper in sequence keeping the sandpaper wet at all times, & then polish it with automotive polishing compound by hand. Most of the time 1500, & 2000 grit is good enough to do the job, because I don't want to over do it! I have had good luck so far! For me painting items tends to leave dry spots, runs, bleed throughs, layer build ups, & masking tape edges, so I'd rather stay with the molded colors.

Martin please forgive me :prays:, I didn't realize there was going to be an insurance safety inspection yesterday :o! But as soon as I find my airport service truck set #3334, I will surely put it in service to avoid being issued another fine ;)!

Thank you Rasputin! If it had not been for your assistance, & patience, this project wouldn't have been possible!

With Rasputins tuning work shop set, there may be a Playmobil photo story based on the movie "GONE IN 60 SECONDS" to come ;)!
