:yup:
in the karstadt.de site there are new pirates available.
my favourite, the 4444 kanonensegler, "inspired" from an idea playmobil spies in this site decided to develop (http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=1666.0).
14.99 euros, a bargain.
:)

also, the european version of the american 5804 take along island.
it's the 4443 piraten schatzinsel zum mitnehmen and it costs 19,99 euros.
:)

and finally, the 4671 geiterpirat for 2,19 euros.
:)

Hello,
a box 4444 see particulary interressting. It's seem a nice box with a possibilty to move a flag up and down (Realistic). A form of sail let me think that we can hopen with some orientale box in the futur.
I like a special too.

I see on one of the 4444 pirates comes with black sideburns.
Until now I think they've only been done in brown, is that correct?

nope - one of the US soldiers out of Set 3023 Fort Eagle has black sideburns as well, and the US officer out of Set 3806 Fort Glory, too
but beside of these two I don't recall any other figure at the moment

The navigator from the original Navy ship has black side burns too :yup:

Great new ship. Thanks Cachalote, for posting the pics.
I especially like the sail, and how it is rigged.
Best regards.

Interestingly, as for price, they tooks the $ sign and changed it to a Euro. ($19.99 is the cost here, probably 18 euros).
I have the set, having needed it for parts but being too impatient to wait for DS. It's OK. The rock mountain is simply hollow on the other side. The figures are good, though.

Thx cachalote,
In a previous post I already mentioned that I didn't like the pirate crap Playmobil is producing lately. But I have to change my mind after seeing the new ship. I really like it and it's rather cheap. I'm very interested in the masts and sails :yup:

A great find, Cachalote! I tried to order it, but it will only be available in February. But there's something I don't like about it and unfortunately Playmobil does it in a lot of pirate sets: the torn sail. A real sailor - pirate or other - would never ever leave a hole in a sail unattended. If there's one thing which will be repaired by a ship's crew immediately it's a damage to the sail. Back then the sails were a ship's only "engine". Could you imagine a motorship crew continuing their cruise looking happily at a broken fuel pipe?
-
:yup:i totally agree with you bogol - the sails are a sailing vessel engine, the wind being its fuel.
:hmm:i kind of liked the first ragged sails in the 3860 schooner 10 years ago.
but now it seems that all the schooners have to have them - the latest being the american 5810 - and the fun of it is long gone.
8}this repetition seems to be a bit obsessive/compulsive - a behaviour that should be kept to collectors...
:wow:"mended" sails is a brilliant suggestion bogol - i hope playmobil will take it seriously.
