Tailor Shop: making of...

I used a clear, textured shelf liner for the paned window glass.

... and my new wine press!

I had to drill a hole into one of the buckets (that hang from the round-tower cranes), and then used a regular Playmobil spigot in the hole.

When I saw the new take-along Pirate Tavern, I was certain there would be a way that I could customize it to pair better with the regular steck buildings. I loved the exposed timbers, and I didn't have a green half-timbered house yet. I also recently customized a fairy tale castle, and had a spare door/frame. I went in with a saw and a drill, and fixed the frame to the half timber, painted it all one hue, and then reattached the door. I cut out the windows, and used a clear, textured shelf liner between the half-timber and the wall to create the glass for the windows.

Especially this:

I will try to remember to copy it!!

Great pair of structures. The wine press is really nicely done!

Some great details there, Indiannapierre. The wine treader, obviously. The arch-topped doorway you created yourself, the beer mugs hanging up, the chandelier, the window glazing. Nice work!

Oh wow, those buildings are very inspiring! It's amazing what you did to create that tavern. And the inside looks fantastic!  :)
