Matchboxluc: How did you crack the child open to make the custom with the big head shown in this topic (http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=152.0)?
-
With a child you have to remove the legs first; then you can see the end of the head pin inside the body. With a pair of thin pliers you can sqeeze the split ends together and pull the head out.
-
I have tried that, but it hasnt worked for me
-
I moved this here for the benefit of others (like me and Meg) who have trouble getting the kid figures apart. Any more tips on how to do this would be greatly appreciated. :-*

I am thinking of a combination of this method with the spanish/rubber band method
Maybe with the pressure of the elastic bands trying to push off the head, and the compression of the neck flanges, I can get results

Here is a method; you'll need a tool like this (it is used to drive in nails):
-
You push the tool firmly against the split end of the head pin inside the body (some force is needed). The head will come off then.
-
that type of tool is referred to as a punch in the US.
(or that what my dad called it)
-
That's it! I'm calling KPS!!! (Klicky Protective Services) You child crackers you! >:( :hmm: 8-)
-
Darn, we cant keep publicizing what we do or Psyche will have the cops on us
-
There are some children klickies that you can just pull on the head and it will come apart. They have to be newer though, children with actual molded shoes. If that doesn't work, I used to try the plier method. I will be interested to try the nail punch method though.
