Hi Everyone!
So excited to join the forum, thank you for welcoming me! My name is Anna and I live in Washington State in the USA. I have been collecting Playmobil since I was a child in the '80's. My first set was the Preschool #3290, I played with it all the time. My brother and I ended up building our collections throughout the years and it was our favorite toy to play with.
I am now 34 years old and have three children, two girls who are 14 & 12 and a son who is 9. They had a ton of Playmobil when they were younger which I have of course saved. I'm sad to say they no longer play with them but I consider myself an adult collector and I hope they will want to pass them along to their children some day. I also have a little 3 year old niece who loves Playmobil as well.
Thank you very much for letting me introduce myself. I am really looking forward to chatting with you all!
Anna :)

Hi Anna and welcome. I am also a newbie but already addicted. <*)

Welcome, Anna! By keeping all your children's Playmobil, I imagine that you have some lovely sets. And your very first set is great too. I really like those shelf units with the cupboard part underneath. Most things won't fit on the shelves - but I think they are so nice looking!

Hey Anna! I'm a 32-year-old mom living in Antwerp, Belgium, and I've been collecting since the eighties as well :)
The set you mention has a special place in my heart - actually I had the same set but in green-and-white. When I was about 10 years old we were on holiday by the seaside, and there was an old toy shop that carried Playmobil from way back. I imagine it had been sitting on the shelves for quite some time. The box of the kindergarten set was bruised and I was able to buy it for less, so that I could afford it. I was extremely happy with it - furnishing houses was my favourite passtime. Actually I think it may still be ;D
Have tons of fun on the forum! I hope you feel like sharing some pictures of your collection.

Thank you for all the welcomes and kind words! I am working on organizing my collection and hope to post pictures as I get things all set up. I don't have much space currently so it will be a work in progress. So excited to be here and thank you again!

Welcome to the PF club house. glad you joined
I am sure I do not need to tell you to not take it personal as I offend often :xmascheer:
You did get your wish to come true at the pcc
But if I am so offensive why then as soon as I get the boot there you join here? A test perhaps ?
Any hoooo, this is a great collection of collectors and it's not a safe space all the time :house:

Welcome Anna, a shame to hear your kids lay aside playmobil so quickly. My christmas list was filled with playmobil untill I went to high school.
I'm from the Netherlands and mostly gather medieval and pirate stuff for stories, would not say I am technically a collector since whatever I buy must be in service of the stories I make. :)
