Hi all!
The 2015 Luxplaymodays Playmobil fair is coming up. It's the weekend of August 22nd & 23rd, from 10am to 6pm and from 10am to 5pm, in Luxembourg, right across the Belgian border.
The address is Rue de Selange in Clémency, Luxembourg (it's in the sports hall, you can't miss it). There will be over 15 dioramas and 120 tables for stalls with MISB, MIB and second-hand Playmobil new and old for sale. Most sellers are collectors who also have big supplies of clickies and accessories to rummage through. Every year the venue attracts people from Germany, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Luxembourg. Entrance is €2,5, for kids it's free.

This year I managed to convince Tahra to come stay with Mitri and me in Antwerp for a five-day holiday, so we can go to the fair together on Saturday. She's bringing two friends, both of whom we also met at the Playmobil Factory Tour last year.
I can't begin to describe how excited I am about this visit ;D :party: :woohoo:
So now of course we'd love to know if anyone else can make it there this year, so we can have an actual Playmofriends meeting while we're at it.
It is by far the best/biggest annual Playmobil fair in Western Europe that I know of - and I've seen a few. So I hope we can convince you to join us!!! :D
We will be there on Saturday from around 10.30am (it's a three hour drive to get there - but well worth it!).

It looks like a great event though its quite a long way and with me having no car, I can't convince friends or family to go there with me when its that far away. :-\
Probably better though since I might just spend too much money there if they happen to have many 90's medieval sets. ;)

Yes medieval is always well represented :)
I'd offer you a ride if you could manage to take a train to Antwerp, but I'm afraid the car is already full with us five.
Maybe someone else from The Netherlands is going, though?
You can't pay by card/credit card there, so you can only spend what you have on you. Although I do remember one time when we drove round the village until we found an ATM ;D

We are coming by car. Very nice to hear that Tahra and her friends are coming too. PlayHes is excited and so am i, little reunion :-)
We could come to your home and drive on together? that way we can take a peek in your basement too :P 8-)

Well you're always more than welcome to have a look around here, for sure ;D
But as far as driving together, that might make it more complicated than it needs to be. We'll have to drive to my parents-in-law's house on the way to switch to a more comfortable car, and with the pregnancy I might need multiple toilet stops etc. Plus, it's more relaxed if we can leave whenever we're ready, without having to worry if we're early or late.
But we could meet up at noon over at the fair, maybe have lunch together? :)

good idea? Saturday at noon at the entrance? What time do you plan on being at the fair?

Around 10.30, but that will depend on the ride over and the traffic and so on. Let's say Saturday 12.30 at the entrance - so I can do a round of the stalls first (find some good buys!) 8-)

Very kind people at the exposition and looks like me & dad are going to show our diorama at a upcoming event... :shhhh:

It sure was a treat ;D I had an amazing time with tahra and Playmoto, and it was completely awesome to meet so many other collectors - I usually just hunt for treasure.
I met four other Belgian collectors too, and they're planning a big Playmobil fair in 2016 right near Antwerp, where I live. Praise the gods! :yippee:
Karim, you were there too?! So we missed each other again, I can't believe it! :'( We only arrived at about 11.30 though and that was on Saturday.
I didn't buy a motherload this time, but I did get a Susanne fishing boat, complete, in very good condition with the original box and leaflets. Even the brown marker still works, but I do not intend to use it! I also made photos of all the dioramas, I'll post them soon.

I seem to know lots of Belgian collectors - Brubil (Bruno), Onnedin (Dirk) and Playmo Belgium (Stephane) are all good friends I have been lucky enough to meet in person at last year's second PCC meeting in Zirndorf. Hopefully I will meet you one day as well Birdie. I am hoping to make a trip to Belgium, Luxplaymodays and the Netherlands in a couple of years.

I look forward to your trip to Belgium, we should definitely meet up then!! I'm sure it will be worth it, with all those other countries a few hours away by car. And I am now quite apt in guiding people around (we've taken Tahra and her friends to Bruges, Brussels and Antwerp).
Maybe you can convince a few fellow Americans to come along? ;D
