although this could be posted in the collector's corner, the fact that these sets are not listed anywhere else made me start a new topic in this section.
"anywhere" includes the collector "bible".
they are:
- 13909 - http://www.klickypedia.com/sets/13909-aur-pirate-bandits-set/
- 13792 - http://www.klickypedia.com/sets/13792-aur-pirate-fishing/
the second one is not that exciting.
but the first one is somehow original (5 figures, a blue pirate).
in the middle of my "explorations" helping klickypedia growing bigger i also found some images of one rarity
- 13570 / mattel - http://www.klickypedia.com/sets/13570-xat-pirate-with-rowboat-and-treasure/
by the way, i am back (sort of)
-
p.s. somehow i started this thread in the right section after all :-[

Welcome back, Cachalote, and with two new interesting finds!

Welcome back (sort of)
Got to love mattels yellow row boat? Thanks for the exploration of elusive sets and helping with the archives

hello rasputin,
i missed you too.
i do really love south american sets.
everyone sees only their faaults (poor plastic, contents not matching the box, etc.) but i see a kind of amateurish beauty on them that sometimes german sets lack.
if you look at the skin color of this mexican mattel set you can see it is much lighter - as if they decided to save some money in the pink pigment or the machine that made it was out of tune.
this "defects" make them unique - diamonds instead of stones.
they all are for sale in mercadolibre.com.mx (it's like a mexican ebay) except for the 13909 - already bought by a friend from klickywelt who asked me to tell him where i had found it.
if we all share information we will all live better, i think.
that's what i liked in klickypedia and that's what (sort of) made me come back.
sort of because i don't know if i have the time to be a regular member.

This is so nice to see & read you again

hello karim,
it's also nice to hear from you.
i used your baudelaire signature recently in one of my works - a 18th century house facing the sea with a garden filled with trees.
thank you for that. :)

Good intel, and welcome back aboard.
Where did the Redcoats imprison you so long? :P
-

:hmm: at bugio, in lisbon.
:) i stole its plans and fortunately i was able to escape swimming (1,5 mile).
