Cool! :D I like his hat and his robes.
-
;D
Thanks for the "real photo"!
I still think the neckprinting too modern..
-
Yeah his neckprinting isnt that great but I suppose its not that bad. I do like the figure though, and welcome all medieval civilians! He might make a great judge.

I's a nice figure, one I will try and get. And Stefan, I think the word you want ids "flattered", not "flattened"!

That plain brown monk outfit would have been great but it's probably to plain for the promotional aspect, oh well, marketers strike again...
I think it will make a great basis for a custom. Change the young looking face first...
It's great to have sets to use in classic themes and this one should work.
Thanks for the pictures Junker Jorg

If that was it, should be a fat guy :P
But the printing I don't like is spot on then.

I just saw this photo on Facebook this evening, I think he looks like quite a nice figure and it makes quite a nice photo with the other promo figures behind interacting with each other
-
I kind of like him 😃

Hoppla, I've never seen it in written form :-[. And spoken it allways reminds me to 'flattened' - corresponding to 'ich bin geplättet'. Cheers,

Who's that king on a horse in the background? Custom or legit?

Who's that king on a horse in the background? Custom or legit?
"Bamberger reiter", very legit-but seems to be missing his mantle?
-
Is there anyone who can do a co-op for him???? I'd like to have him in my collection.
-
@leefert
The Luther or the Bamberger Reiter?
I suppose, it would be difficult to get the Bamberger Reiter, it´s a longer time ago, they were sold, but the Luther is new and if you want me to do a collectors order again, like the Duerers....
People of the Tourist Office, where it´s sold, already know me quite well.

The Luther
If you could that would be great! I saw one on eBay yesterday, but the price was sky high.
I live on the East Coast of the U.S. so I could even help with distribution to any of the U.S. collectors.
-
Okay, will do a co-op again. ;)
@all
You find the order thread for the Luther here:

Thank you!

Shouldn't Martin be holding a hammer and a scroll of theses?
-

Autsch, indeed, I forgot to cloak the poor lad. Thanks for tipping me off, I just fixed that.
Shouldn't Martin be holding a hammer and a scroll of theses?
He should indeed. "Luther 2017" is celebrating the 500th anniversary of Luthers placarding of the 95 Propositions ("95 Thesen"). On October 31st Luther affixed his written protest against the custom of selling of indulgences at Wittenberg Schloßkirche's gate. And it wasn't before four years later that Luther, hiding as from pope and Kaiser at Wartburg castle and calling himself "Junker Jörg", translated the New Testament. A complete German bible was presented in 1534. Luther holding a German Bible therefor's not matching "Luther 2017" - nonetheless it's presenting his two great achievements in one.

Thanks for the extra info, I didn't know about his pseudonym - I understand the link to your avatar now :)

95 Propositions ("95 Thesen")
I've always seen this Englished as "95 theses" - the correct (Greek) plural of "thesis". When I was young I mistakenly thought it was the plural of "these" and pronounced it that way. I couldn't figure out what it meant!

His tagline too - "Hier stehe ich...". Famous line.

To be honest, to me "Anschlag der 95 Thesen" it's a fixed term and I never considered how it's called abroad. So when writing here I consulted a dictionary offering me that phrase. Driven by your comment I went through some texts written by UK Lutherans, reading: 95 Theses. So it seems, that's the better translation. But maybe a native speaker could help here?

Yes, the standard English translation is the 95 Theses.

Perfect!
They really need to do a whole theme of historical figures.
-
Perfect!
Danke, das freut mich - nice to read, thanks :).
As the first number of Lutherklickys offered by Nuremberg Tourist Information (19,000) acutally's sold out: there's no need to worry. On April 20th the next Luthers ready to be purchased are to be exptected. So don't panic 8-).

The link for the order thread doesn't seem to work?

You do read our posts, don't you? The Klicky you're looking for is temporarily not available.

I saw the link to an article about the Luther set on Facebook:
apparently Luther is the fastest selling Playmobil set ever :o
http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/31514940?SThisFB&fb_ref=Default (http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/31514940?SThisFB&fb_ref=Default)
I think it's good news, if that means they'll start to realize historical sets are very popular.
The article seems to imply that Playmobil thinks it's bought for children, but I've got my doubts about that. :)

Two press releases - German only, I'm sorry:
:o . Yes, I did that interview, but I'm quite sure not to have said things as quotet here.
"Weiterhin keine Wartburg..."
??? . Must have been a prophet in 2007 - that's when I built Wartburg castle...

The few times I've spoken to the press my words have been distorted badly...makes you wonder...
