Hi All,
I have found this sign and never have seen it before.
My best guess is that it comes from set 3444, but i can't see on collectobil or playmodb if that is correct.
Does anybody have a scan from that set and check if the sign is indeed from that set.
And yes......... i'm very happy with the sign :yup:

Hi Rob!
Nice sign... :yup:
But you are wrong. It is definitely from the Rathaus (City Hall) 3447 (http://www.playmo-portal.com/catalog.php?action=description&itemid=3447&cat=8&subcat=3&page=3)...
You can see it on the image following the link, looking very closely.. ;)
By the way, its meaning is something like:
By highest order it is announced hereby that fighting, drinking, dancing and something else ("stegelschieben" ??? - dunno the word by myself.. :-[ ) is forbidden by punishment on celebration days. (??? again, maybe I am wrong with this word as well)
Nuremberg obviously was not the place to go for celebrating... :hmm:

is on a low resolution. didn't found a biogger one.

Ok. Not in another topic.
I asked because the translation looked like a 'quote' the first time i saw it.
Thanks for the translation, my German isn't all that good so i appreciate very much!

Would stegelshieben be something like shoving off wall?
LEO.org says shieben is push or shove, closest for the other part is steg - a partition wall, catwalk or platform. So since it's castle theme maybe no pushing people off the wall walks?

hmm, with a second... ...very close... ...look, I think it means "Kegelschieben" which would mean bowling, skittles? :P
It makes sense in terms of a middleage scenario on the street where this might be bound to a lot of noise... ;)

I think you're right Socrates!!
Now knowing that it could be a K it looks indeed like Kegelschieben.
I hope this photo is any better.
This sign could make up for a good photostory
