I may have mentioned before that my husband Chris (clong on here) has been going to school the last couple of years to become a paramedic. Today he finishes the last of his clinicals, so he just has finals and he will be done with school! Well, yesterday I surprised him with a cake that I made and decorated with playmobil. featuring the custom ambulance we made some time back, modeled after our local ambulances. The cake is organic too, as an added bonus. ;D Anyway, here are the pics, hope you like it! Oh, and no klickys were harmed in the making of this cake. In fact they were all too happy to lie there in a sea of chocolate buttercream. ;)

:shhhh: what's an organic cake? :-[ :-[ :-[
It's made with all organic ingredients... stuff grown with no chemical pesticides, and any animal products (milk and butter in this case) are from animals not given hormones, antibiotics, or feed grown with pesticides. Also no genetically-modified anything.
Of course cake still isn't a health food, but at least it's chemical-free. ;)

Congratulations!
That's a great cake! Looks tasty too :)

I notice that the male paramedic (Chris, yes?) in your scene is getting on with the job of saving lives, whereas his colleague is standing there looking stunned. I imagine she is saying to herself "Oh, no, why did I ever become a paramedic, I cannot stand the sight of all that... chocolate".
Great scene, great looking cake (not an insult to say it looks like a road accident, this one ;D).

@ bb oh ok thanks! I thought organic could mean that but we call it differently so I had doubts. Generally we call it something that in english would be "naturalistic" food I suppose. But some call it also virgin food, green food or eco-food
In my defense: organic in that context could have meant: made with human organs ... after the accident... you know...

Thank you everyone, this was a really fun project, and I am totally inspired now to do other playmobil cakes! Except that I really don't want to eat cake that often, even though it's delicious.

Gaston... Ewwww! Yeah, as you might have guessed, we have decided to go as close to 100% organic as possible.

Awesome cake!
Tell him good luck on his finals and registries (from another Paramedic)

Oh you're a paramedic? I didn't know that!

Oh you're a paramedic? I didn't know that!
Yes ma'am. 5 years as a paramedic and I had 2 years As a First Responder and 4 years as an EMT before that.

Awesome. I know from watching Chris how much work goes into learning it, and I have great respect for those who can handle it.

Great looking cake Bonnie!
Though I can't help projecting the irony of that poor klicky surviving the car crash only to drown in the puddle. Fortunately it's a Playmobil puddle and too hard to actually drown in. ;)

Great cake! Love the way you decorated it. Congratulations.

What a brilliant idea for a cake, and it looks so wonderful too.

Thanks everyone!

And as shallow as a piece of cardboard, too. ;)
