Title: Female ‘curvy’ torsos- two sorts
Post by: GrahamB on July 12, 2014, 21:29:17
At risk of stating the obvious (Tahra and other fanatical klicky-poppers will certainly know this, but I have never seen it mentioned anywhere), there are two types of that torso which PlaymoDB describes as ‘female curvy’. Here they are:

One has ‘sloping’ sides and the other has more obvious ‘hips’.

The ‘hips’ version was introduced in 1987/8, but the earliest example I can find of the ‘sloping sides’ torso is in sets 3965, 3967and 3968 released in 2000 and special 4588 released in February 2001. Both torso styles are still in use today.

Just thought I'd mention it!

Are the "skeletons" identical?  ???

The sloping ones can't wear the hoop skirts. The skeletons are the same though.

It's good to have variation. My female pirate clicky has the sloping version which seems to work better with her shoulderbelt due to the smaller bust and it falling better at the side due to less pronounced hips.

Torsos: For those who use Ersatzteile Finden, the German name for the more curvy torso is Körper-Frau 1900 II and the slimmer one, Körper-Frau 2000 II. I don't trust drawings to show me which figures have which, so I haven't distinguished them in the Who's That Klicky descriptions. I can update the part numbers that I have German names for, though: that's about fifty. Most are unknown, unfortunately! A text search on "torso, female curvy" (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/textsearch.pl?text=torso%2C+female+curvy&pics=on&sortby=partnum) will show what I've got.

Are the sloping ones fit for wearing regular belts? Variation is good... but hips don't lie (thanks Shakira!)

Belts were unfortunately made for male torsos. They fit not with perfection on either female torsos. I do use them on both. Extensively.
