Rex Alan Loewen
I have been collecting Playmobil since about 1988. The first set or two were actually purchased for my daughter who was about 3 years old.
Now-a-days, my children joke that ALL Playmobils in the family belong to Father! Even the ones I buy for them!
I began seriously collecting about ten years ago and have amassed a rather large colletion. I began with the Knights and Steck buidlings. For the last few years I have switched to Pirates and anything I can convert to looking like it came from Colonial America (mid 1700s to late 1700s).
I have two of the large ships, 6 or so of the 3050 type ships and 6+ of the small boats.
I have at least three of each of the coloured Steck houses (red, blue and yellow) as well as about ten of the old white Steck houses. I have one Tailor shop plus extra pieces, one Pottery shop plus enough extra pieces to build a second and part of a third.
I am waiting until my wife an I buy our first house, which will include a dedicated Playmobil room to start buidling a huge diorama to showcase my collection. I have been planning the diorama for years.
Now, if only Playmobil would release more figures with the long coat in different colurs besides red and black (I am not counting that hidioue gray thing).

Hello and welcome to the forum. Now that you said what you did you can not use lack of a house as an excuse to not set up such a grand sounding diorama. Find a garage at a friends house or some abandoned building and set that scene up. I really want to see what you create with your collection

That sounds like quite a diorama that's coming up.
