Hello Playmofriends,
I am Peyobin from Florida!
I have been a Playmobil fan since the early years. I received my first Klicky from a classmate in the 70s (now that's a good friend :)). I remember, he was blue and had no hair or accessories but it did not matter, that was enough to get hooked. I loved all the possibilities that brilliant little toy offered and I had to get in on more action. That came in the form of cowboys, indians, road workers, cavalry soldiers, pirates (no ship :'() and firemen. In those days, Playmobil did not do much in terms of scenery. Sure they had a few buildings and vehicles but nothing like they make now. A lot had to be left to the imagination... Fast forward a few years (well a few more years) and I am back in the action :) I now have a 5 year old daughter who is sharing my enthusiasm for Playmobil. She has been my excuse to get a lot of the sets I only wished Playmobil had been making when I was a kid.
My, I mean our favorite themes are pirates, western, Egypt, beach, underwater exploration (where was that when I was a kid >:(), future planet, a few Romans and a couple of airplanes. I completely missed out on the victorian era :-[ so I can't wait for it to make a come back. After all, I owe my daughter a proper dollhouse ;)
Overall, I am not a big fan of the modern themes :-[ I guess the colors are a bit too 'Fisher Pricey' for me. I think Playmobil does period themes the best...
I hope to share some of our stories with you guys.

Hello and :welcome: from Louisiana! I enjoyed reading your story. I agree about the fisher-pricey colors, though they seem to be making it into the historical themes too, especially the new western stuff. Wish they would STOP that! Anyway, we look forward to seeing pics of your collection!

This made me laugh - I use my nephew as my 'excuse' (who I've quite handily managed to addict to Playmo too!). It sounds like you *ahem* your daughter, has great taste in the themes she likes the best - I love all the history sets too.
Have fun in the forums!
