someday I will 'whitewash' all these old white PM parts...someday :P

Very nice! ;)
I assume they are WW II-era US sailors?
The white rolled-up sleeves that come with the airplane-steward might fit good on them too, once you get some of those...

errrrrm, no WW2 on PF :P....maybe on a peaceful day in Pearl Harbour on Dec 6th 1941
...can anybody guess when is it safe to use these rolled-up sleeves with straps and button in historical themes?

Neat idea!

As far as I know, it's ok as long as there are no nazi symbols or hitlers. I could be wrong, but I believe we have had modern war customs here before. We must remove nazis though, due to rules handed down from geobra.

thanks for the clarification bb!
...since you own a couple of real clothes with those straps and buttons....if nobody can guess when this invention came into play (I have the same problem with chinese wrap around shirts and those centralised but cloth-ball buttons)
are you able to make an educated guess? (I remember asking PF whether jeans was worn during ACW or even slightly later during the Plain Wars) I'm a bit crazy about historical correctness sometimes :P
