Title: New bicorn
Post by: Malone on September 14, 2012, 00:29:58
Yes...yes...yes....there are some bicorns on Playmo-world....and I like and use for my Spanish troops and...
But I´m a "nonconformist" and I look for a more real image....for spanish and for my austrian artillery.....I guess for a lot of soldiers-countries but this is another cuestion.

At last....I can make a correct austrian artillery soldiers.....summer or winter uniform.... collar-cuffs in red for gunners and blue for artillery servants.

To make the winter coat.....I cut one of my long coats with a cutter....a bit of sand paper....easy  ;D

I share your feelings. my only fear is that someday when I'm on my death bed, I'll wonder if I could have made better use of my free time :P
...I control myself by not expanding my Ikea shelves, so I have to get rid of some other themes in order to add more Asians, yes, its crazy but we cant help it, right, Malone? ;D

Thanks folks.... ;D
I make a new variant of this bicorn, one with a border around the edge, for Cavalry, Artillery and.....??....more odds...
Is more easy to paint and all hats looks equal.

To show this 3º variant I choose one Spain horse artillery and one Spain Dragoon Rgt. de Pavia.

At this moment....we have the soldier type, the Cavalry-Artillery type, the Austrian type.....and NOW....the Officers type....also for Grenadiers and élite troops.
Now....I go to make one for General.... 8}

Nice to see those gunners in action, Javi! Love the pics with the cannons. I was a bit surprised by your choice of colour for the stand and wheels, but it does look great.
Best,
Arnaud

Thanks Cowa... :love:
Yes, the yellow looks a bit rare....but is the "standard" colour for Austrian Artillery on this time....if is possible to talk about "standard" on Napoleonic Time.  ::)

The colour for soldiers body is a bit clear....maybe most brown is better but I prefer this more ligth....cuestion of taste.... ;D
