Hello my friends.
After my second daughter's birth I don't have much time and place to work with my playmos. I decided to work on mini dioramas and in this thread you will can see these. So, here is the first one with my new West set. I hope you will like it. :)

Very nice the figures are lovely and the background really looks good :)

This looks great! :)

Beautiful! Did you use a painting by Bob Ross as background? ;) I've always wondered what exactly the Chiefs put in their pipes, just tabacco or other spice mixtures?

No my friend. It's not from Bob Ross. It's from an itinerant man who sell this at the roads. I bought this for 5 euros. ;D
Many thanks to all for your nice comments, glad you liked it. :)

I like the way these medieval houses combine perfectly with modern life sets.
Lovely to look at.

I wish every member in playmofriends has as much fun looking at them, as you had setting them up!!!! :)
-
Oh, that's just lovely! Really good job. It makes me want to work on a little harder on the mini caveman dio I have set up on a shelf. I know you must have had fun setting it up! Thanks for sharing!
-
Fantastic cavemen dio.
-
Love the way that's lit nice family scene :)

Fantastic dio, the lighting looks great! :)

Wonderful job with the lighting, it's a great image.

Me too! Always a great eye for detail, George! Your pics inspire me and yes, I did buy a mammoth skeleton because of your skeleton army!
-
Very beautiful set up and photography. I too like the way you positioned the heads. The male looking at the howling beast, the child looking to its mother for security.
I must say though I see a different scene than some. The wolf pack looking to feast on the vulnerable family and the males (one with spear and one in the dark) are positioning themselves to defend the clan. Must be the smell of the cooking fish that brought this all about.
-
Thank you very much playmofriends. :wow:
The scene with baby came in my mind from my small daughter(Almost 4 months in life ) and the way she looks at her mother. She can't take her eyes from her, after all she is the one who feeds her.
George.
-
after all she is the one who feeds her.
That cracked me up!
-
Wow, very beautiful scene. You've really created an atmosphere :)9
-
And after so much cold, here is a warm diorama.

??? Well I can't speak for anyone else but, personally I've only just seen these new photos, it looks like pne of those nice quiet hidden bays/beaches no doubt very peaceful I like the boat and the little guy with his scarf and wooly hat looks right for someone out at sea :)
-
I like them George, but I've only just seen them. :-[
It does feel disappointing when you take time to post photos and then get few replies, but I think that with them being on the end of this thread they were probably overlooked. ???
What did you use for the beach? I like it, it looks courser than sand, and much neater - sand always seems to get spread out easily.

I've only just picked up on this topic, George, and what a wonderful eye you have for creating a picture!
The farm picture, as Tim said, could be on an early Playmobil box, it's classic Playmobil. The cave picture is excellently lit with the side lighting (the picture reminded me of the description of the cave in Plato's Republic which I came across in my university philosophy course fifty years ago!) and the first of the beach shots is a perfect example of small is beautiful.
Looking forward to seeing more.
-
Haven't noticed these last ones either :-[
They are brilliant, George!!!
-
The beach looks peaceful - I like the rocks with the palmtrees framing it.. curious to the "sand" too!
Hope the boat brings the beer! ;) (better yet, Coca-Cola, I don't like beer)
-
The picture looks nice, looks like those clickies are ready to start a beach party. :)
-
Sorry we all missed these, George! That looks like a lovely spot for a vacation! Very nicely done.

Greetings George.
New threads attract mo.re attention because they are NEW. An addition to an existing thread may be something new or a reply to a comment

Hello Elaine.
For the beach I have used decorative gravel. You can find it very easily and I believe that you have seen this, in white color. ;)
Many thanks for your comment.
Friendly George.
