It has a been a very long time since I was active in the playmo community, although I think the Playmobil bug never quite goes away . After a recent kick-start from my nephew (who now seems to be following in the addiction) I started sorting through my old sets, catalogues, and bits and pieces hunting for an old alien set for him that I knew I had *somewhere*. Needless to say while I was searching I kept finding old friends and quickly got back on the slippery slope of 'I wonder what themes I've missed?'. It turns out that I've missed plenty in the last ten years (eek...it really has been that long!).
I found a copy of my old website on an old backup disk and the reminiscing began. This led to a quick search online to see if any of my favourite sites were still active, if any of the Egyptians and Romans were still available and... well, you can guess the rest :)
It seems I'm back in the clutches of playmoholism, and I was so happy to see the forums active and the community seemingly even stronger than ever. So I guess I'm posting to say re-hi to any old friends who may still lurk in these boards, and a big smiley 'hello' to all the new members who've joined.

Yes, I'm hoping so - it needs a lot of updating so at the moment I'm trying to work out how to use Dreamweaver and CSS to reformat it all. It's been a bit of a learning curve for me, as last time I think I used FrontPage for the site (quick and dirty and WYSIWYG), so it may take a while ;D
I remember Castle Sauvage well.
This made me smile - especially since it's been such a long time since the site was up! *warm fuzzy feeling*

Forum-wise...um, probably this one ^^ I do remember a lot of playmo-emails flying back and forth though  The avatar is from the snake lady set 3737 and was one that Sylvia made. I remember falling in love with this figure (which was unusual, because the circus theme isn't one I'm that keen on) and probably paying way over the odds in an E-bay auction for her :) As for themes I desperately need (we all know it isn't 'want' lol )- I'm a sucker for mediaeval, and anything historical, so the BIG draw back in to Playmo for me was the Egyptians/Romans I'd missed - I think I caught the Vikings just as I was leaving last time!
I was also really happy to see that DS is rotating through some of the older sets. I'm guessing I have you all to thank for that  and I'm very excited at the thought of a PCC - it looks like you've all been busy!
OK, time to bash away at html/css again for a while and bang my head on the desk as I fail once again to overlap images!

Tahra, this made me laugh out loud irl:

Then I had to explain to my partner what I was laughing at :D I am just the same when it comes to remembering who/what/when lol and even found a list of addresses scribbled down for people I had sent playmo to and had a hard time remembering who was who, so don't feel bad ;)
