Title: order your FAO toy soldier 5957 set here
Post by: Rasputin on July 21, 2012, 15:34:00: I will be placing an order for the set and can send them anywhere in the world. They are $4.99+shipping and I use pay-pal. If there are not too many I will send them direct and no need for a middleperson.

Post by: Rasputin on July 30, 2012, 20:34:50: Sorry about the late response, very busy summer. They are out of stock for some reason and are waiting the next shipment. The price was spiked up to $6.99 as soon as stock ran out. I called them and they will (hopefully according to the manager) will honor the $4.99 price for us. They said the shipment should be any day now.

Post by: Rasputin on August 10, 2012, 15:39:19: Just to let everyone know that I have been negotiating with TRU for days to get the original $4.99 price. When it hit the market it was $4.99 but when it ran out TRU raised the price 50% to $6.99. I was able to secure the price but TRU is having a problem keeping this item in stock. Its not easy dealing with them as there are so many other companies involved. West Corp. answers TRU's phones. They have no idea when stock is replenished and they even wanted to know. I called playmbil and spoke to the regional rep who has the TRU account. She is calling the TRU purchaser to hopefully redirect many cases to me. The one thing she wanted to know is "why aren't people buying the new Victorian set" She said it was not moving at all and this was very concerning to them. I told her that the price point was too high and all the members who were coveting this set were waiting for a decent sale. Obviously the US playmobil team does not read these posts. Her sales team and TRU team think it is due to the item only being viewable in the 150th anniversary section so due to lack of exposure it is not selling.

I am expecting a call today

It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have to spend more money to get curtains and such to finish the house. I'm looking into getting a patio to cover up that gaping hole in the back. At $129.99, I expect the house to be *finished*.

If you do end up with plenty, I'm kind of thinking I might want two soldiers, instead of one... ;)

I was finally able to finish the negotiations with TRU. It took what seems months of haggling with them to get the order complete. I had to pull every trick and drop every name I had.

I was able to get so far 75 sets @ the original price of $4.99. They charged me $50 shipping but dropped $20 off. Then the Tax @ 8%

I maybe able to get more @ $4.99 but dealing with a large coporation is not easy

again sorry for the delays in info.

They should be in my hand in less than a week. Once I get them I can start sending them out
