30 minutes into the fire, Chief 2 notifies headquarters to have Arson Investigator unit 2282 respond to this location. He tells the investigating team while enroute, he has a person of interest he wants them to interview to see what his connection to this fire is.

A close up of the person of interest. Do you think the cigarette chain smoking, beer drinking, drunk monkey could have anything to do with this fire,......if you said yes, you are correct! The investigators found out he threw a smoldering cigarette butt in the laundromat's indoor trash can that was full of newspapers causing the trash can to ignite, & catch a magazine rack on fire, then the buildings interior went up in flames. Luckily all of the customers got out of the building without injury, & the drunk monkey was arrested for reckless endangerment & public intoxication. He currently is awaiting trial.
I hope you liked this story.

There always a monkey involved in an arson
Excellent pics Bill!!! Always a pleasure to watch the PCFD in rescue operations!!!
Did you use a smoke machine for the smoke effect?
-

I loved the suspect! :easterhop:
Great pics Bill!!! Is it really smoke or a computer effect? :-[
-
Great effect with the fog machine, BB! The lighting was great too, for a nighttime fire. Love it, great scene, down to the details, like the broken glass and all. So cool getting to see exactly what goes on at a fire scene. And the drunk monkey was hilarious!   Btw, I am envious of all your washers and dryers! You sound like you know from experience about taking that mask off and continuing to fight the fire.... :toot:

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for your positive support for this very time consuming project,...Thank you very much!
To answer your questions;
Panos & Gaston; Yes, the smoke effects are actully done with a small Halloween special effects fogger. I got it years ago on sale, & it was the best nonPlaymobil item, I have invested in! ;)
Ryan: The parts you are asking about are these. 30 22 9970 housings, 30 22 9980 battery charger for oxygen cylinders, 30 81 4112 Stickers for fire station.
bb; No comment! :-[

Great photo story and pictures, Bill. I hope my shots turned out OK in all that smoke!
Very clever idea to utilise the BA recharging unit the way you did, btw.

Thank you very much Gordon for your kind words of support! I'm glad you like the custom Cascade system! The unit fits perfectly inside the trailer when not in use. ;)

Oh, OK. The yellow hoses are the same as the 30 09 8970 black ones. The yellow hoses are rare & I can't remember which sets they came from. The yellow breathing air tanks 30 09 8960 are my favorite air tanks, but they have been superceded by the diving air tanks 30 24 1070 which do not work as well.
-
Wow, that looks very realistic! Fantastic story!
I love the suspect!

Ah, that dastardly monkey! Cool story. :)

I like how much care is shown for the poor clicky who inhaled too much smoke. :)

Ah, that dastardly monkey! Cool story. :)
That monkey has been in trouble so much, he's considered a frequent flyer at the PCPD police stations!
One of his earlier jobs was working in a spray tan salon ;)!

He was well cared for by the PCEMS medic 25 crew members, but he was written up by his officer in charge for not following PCFD protocalls! :(
-
That monkey has a very crazy history then.
That picture looks quite suspicious though, ha!
-
Love it!!!! Such simple details like the broken "glass" add so much.

Great story!
I've got one of those fog machines but I've only used it once a long time ago for a Halloween series. It's certainly effective for this use I can see

Thank you very much Tim! I love mine for what I use it for! One word of advise to everyone, disconnect your smoke alarm & close the door until you're done using the fogging machine ;)!
-

Great story! And concerning the fog/smoke, I was wondering how to do that in photoshop. Now I see you used a smokemachine, looks fantastic.

Thank you for the positive words! The fogger machine works great for special effects like these! :)9

Great pics! Amazing work with that fog machine thing....
Maybe you can post pics of the thingamajig too? (just curious ;) )
-
Cool story Bill. Love the smoke effects. I thought the fire was going to have been caused by something mundane like a dirty lint trap, but a drunk, chain smoking monkey is WAAYY better. I hope he has a decent lawyer.
-
Yes, I love the chain-smoking monkey! BB, I'd love to see pics of the fog machine and how it works, too.
-
Absolutely brilliant story, Bill! :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:
I love the details such as the smoke, the broken glass, and the smoking monkey! :D :D :D
Damo :)

As always dear Bill, you attention to realistic details is second to none and this beautifully crafted diorama is another demonstration f your knowledge of the Fire Dept and talent and re-creating an emergency situation for us
The smoke effect is amazing ;)
Karim :)
-
Thank you all for the kind words of support! :) Some day I hope to do a tutorial showing how I do these photo stories. That monkey is a trouble maker with a capital T ;)!
-
Great rescue story. Your diorama and effects are first class.
In the first photo I want to comment on how your fire department might want to speed up response time, half the building is already gone :P
I see it is time to rescue yet another loose nut from jail ;) How much is bail? :**:

Thank you Ras!
I could always use the excuse that it was already fully involved when the fire department arrived,......but their response times where excellent!
That monkey has a rap sheet a mile long! The judge may not set bail this time for him being a repeat offender! ;)
