Just two birds and a 40-pound puppy currently. I want a guinea pig and an aquarium, though, and my brother who lives in the same house is getting a cat soon. :love:

aquarium ... i have more than 10000L at house ... in time they are in my garage (no place in this house !) i use to breed discus fish and i have a lot . When i was living in ivory cost (aged 5 to 11 years old ) we have : a monkey , a deer , rabbit , chicken , 2 cats (they disapear when they was fat ...) as you see i was living in a small zoo ... jeremy

:o Wow, that's a lot of animals! I used to keep a freshwater aquarium, and I loved it. I really miss it, but it's hard to find room for one now.

When living with my parents we've always had tourtles, birds (my father is a bird breeder) dogs and cats.
But my mom when she was little (my grandad was kinda rich) had two Owls, a crow, several dogs and a horse called Mariposa (butterfly) :love:

There is sort of a real story behind this one... when my brother was a baby, my parents had a cat that reeeally loved food. So he would be sitting in the high chair and the cat would stand up and stretch out his little paw as far as he could reach and spear a piece of meat with one of his claws and eat it, much to my brother's amusement. :lol:

i understand ... my little Fanny aged 2,5 years sometime give to my cat half of her plate ... now the cat wait before eating and is always under Fanny when she eat ! he cat prefer a good piece of beef than his "dry food" ("croquette" in french , i don't know in english the word for that)

That's so great!! My younger cat has become a bad influence to the older one... they are both coming onto me now to see what's on the table, in my plate, in my hands, you name it... :lol: Still, when I allow them to try, they don't eat any of the food, the younger one is only licking it... Maybe its because they don't find it hard to chew, like their dry food ...

He had her well trained when he was 1 1/2 years old. She knew he would provide for her especially when he would give her a bite of chicken when his mother wasn't watching ;), so she guarded him with her life in return! Kahlua would obey his every command,....Lulu cage,....& she would go lay in her kennel, Lulu sit,....she sat, he'd open the door & say Lulu go potty,......she'd go outside & do her business.

Sounds like a very good dog. Just the fact she would wait until he was finished rather than stealing the food shows she was well-trained and knew who was boss.

Great photo :lol: :) and stories. Our previous cat had fairly variable discipline and so was constantly searching for ways on the table getting up on chairs, laps, jumping across and sat/lay on the table for large amounts of the day got fairly funny if not a bit ridiculous sometimes at meal times following my Dad's hand when he wa eating cereal, sandwiches etc. and then putting her nose in the food, I think she was greedy but, still to this day I think it was also "hey I'm on your lap why are you paying more attention to that food/book then me and not stroking me". Consequently are new young cat who is very mischevious is not allowed on the table and is often put in a different room at meal times although he does get goodness only knows how much cream/custard/yoghurt etc. on a finger probably double portions plenty of evenings and a bit of whatever we're having in his food bowl in addition to his own food and he seems to eat anything you give him.

Very cute and realistic animal household.
We had both a dog and a turtle. the dog would carry the turtle around and re-burry it in the yard. I now wonder what the little fella thought when his hibernation spot kept changing :P

:lol: I've seen some really funny interactions between dogs and turtles, usually involving the turtle relentlessy tormenting the dog and then hiding in its shell so the dog can't get it back. :lol:
