THANK YOU PLAYMOBIL!!!

Excellent!!! This is reall great!!!!

This is excellent news :high5:! I'm really looking forward to that advertising colum!

Great news about the museum...
-
The museum means: double arches, pointy roof, stairs, the blinking armor, so:
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cheerlead: :cheerlead: :cheerlead: :cheerlead: :cheerlead: :cheerlead: :cheerlead: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :yippee: :yippee: :yippee: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:
Thank you, Geobra!
-
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is FANTASTIC NEWS!!!
Thank you Ana Ermann, guys from the PCC and Geobra!
Now I wonder what changes the sets will have.... will they come with clickies? (I mean the school, the museum and the add column)
-
I am going to get them all but I am kind of let down. I would have liked more buildings like the museum that has much needed parts. How many advertising colums could one use? I have the school and the best part is the bell and porch roof but how many baby blue buildings do you need. I think the western farm house was better. I really think we all could have used 7400's . Oh well less to buy and there is always next time.
The one thing I do want to see this time is some klickes in these sets. If the museum does not come with the all chrome knight it will be a sure let down.
Thanks for the Facebook news ::)

I'll vote (again) for 7400, Ras. It's essential to ANY theme, yes it is!!!

Western schoolhouse!!!!!! :yippee: :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
Great news! :woohoo:
I will finally be able to complete my set by ordering the missing steeple from the DS!
-
Advertising stand! :yippee:
I actually love them all apart from maybe the guards. :-\
-
Well, I'm glad to see the museum as it will mean I can buy the double arch for railway bridges/viaducts, while a couple of the advertising columns, one outside each station, will be useful.
-
Thanks for the news Anna Ermann and thanks for sharing it here Erik! :)
* Hmm...the guards....should I or shoudn't I.... I have the hats meanwhile... Maybe 2; 1 to keep forever in the sealed bag .... and 1 to sell for 1000 euros in 15 years from now. :P
* The museum.... I already have 2 of them, but the doublearch-wall is a welcomed part to see back!
* No need for an advertising column in my 16th-18th century settings...
* how many baby blue buildings do you need. I think the western farm house was better.
yes, the western farmhouse would have been much better, I could use some of those.
-
oh i do hope the advertising column comes with its klickies!!!
-
will certainly get them all, probably not more than 2 of each of the buildings... 1 column and 1 bazillion guards ... I am a little worried however that they will repeatedly run out of the guards ...
-
Excellent news . I will buy all the sets. I have wanted the guards since childhood :-[.
I already have a museum sign (not a complete set, but I could then use this sign with a homemade sticker. Sadly my sister has move out of germany so I will have to wait until 01/13.
I'm kinda sad that the 7400 and the western train were not Included. I was really kinda hoping on the western train: I know that it would be expensive but with the new western theme it seems like the best moment!
-
that means that now i need to start collecting all the medieval buildings released through DS - how many have there been so far? 3 re-releases of that?
i wish they'd made the victorian lampost...whatever, i'm excited about the western school :)
-
Great News indeed!!
Only one item has interest for me the Museum!!!
I will keep 1-2 coplete sets for my collection and of course a DS order of double arch walls, pointed roofs and if they will reproduce them shining knight klickies.
Thank you Geobra!
They too little for my expectations(i was hoping on Susanne) but too much for Geobra slow reproduction plans.
I can wait patiently for the Museum complete set to be available to my country but i will try to find my way for the ds parts before 2013.
Thank you all
-
  I don't care - I love them all !!!

I can't wait to get my hands on these! I have none of these. I came to the party late, so all these are welcome since I missed out back in the day! I hope PM produces more than enough to go around.
-
and if they will reproduce them shining knight klickies.
It sure would be the cherry on top

That is still made by whom, lyria?
I don't care - I love them all !!!

Really, so if they made a re-released 7128 Klicky 12 pack with all the dated outfits and accessories you would be happy that we all spent countless time in our attempt to negotiate dialog with Geobra for such events to even take place?? Come on, you were there. Lets not be satisfied with mediocrity

What are those guards supposed to be anyways? What place/era? We have a bunch but the boys go for the red-coats, the royal guard and now they want the British Redcoat Soldiers.

Even if we don't buy them in huge quantities, there's a lot of us newer and poorer collectors who don't have even one of any of these sets. So I'm thrilled at the chance to get them without paying ebay prices. Same with the ones we got last time, I didn't have any of them. Thing I'm most excited about is the school! I've wanted it so bad for so long, but it's extremely expensive on ebay. I've never found one near cheap enough for me. And a little paint takes care of the baby blue.
-
I wonder wether the Husards will come with new style horses...

Interesting question!

oh no please!... unles you mean the very new horses with the new posses!

The museum is great and I too do not have any due to its current price, well yesterdays price
but the stand that takes a mold machine 2 seconds to spit it out, slap, or not a sticker on it and charge under $10, I did not want that to count as one of the choices. That museum or the guards have many useful elements for a broad range of people. Even the school house can be painted :-X but on this one I just still see its close rival still on store shelves AKA 7146. Now the 3769 Farm house, 4305 freight terminal, 3770 Colorado station, all have parts that are useful to more collectors.
-
I wonder wether the Husards will come with new style horses...
Isn't that like asking if the building will be system x or not? To be classic shouldn't they be the old ones.
-

That depends on what you call mediocrity.
Personnally - I really love the Museum, the baby-blue church. Both of them enough to want them, even though the church is definitly not my theme.
I've been trying to get my hands on the advertising column for ages (the one I have is split and is missing it's golden top).
The Husars are nice too. Had my interests been there, I would have bought multiple sets of them.
As for the "dated outfits and accessories" - these do represent a awefull lot of happy childhood memories for this mediocre man. Perhaps "too old" man for you. I am still trying to get some of those sets back and complete again. Just for memory sake.
So, am I being mediocre, because I like these sets?
Let me be mediocre then.
But what makes that you then?
Who are you to tell me what's mediocre and what isn't?
I do find that remark rather insulting!

I didn't quite understand this, Rasputin, though I wasn't offended by it. I wonder if Geobra have shown any interest in issuing another set just of Klickies (like 7128), in response to the suggestions of enthusiasts like us? Mind you, I doubt there would be universal agreement on what the 12 should be....
-
No, a statement of the sort "I do not care what geobra makes" was what I was referring to.
The sets are OK, the museum is the best one by far as it has so much to it. The column if you really need one are on auction sites for not much money. I think there are so many fighting knight and fighting pirates and fighting spy, space, the list goes on and on that we do not really need more soldiers. We as collectors have been complaining about not having enough civilians from any era but going out on a limb for geobra is risky. Who wants to get stuck with 100,000 unsellable peasant sets.
The school I too will get as I can just paint them :-\. The recent house with less parts was around $20-ish so I sure will be watching to see if Geobra scalps us. I now wish I never painted any medieval houses as they made 4 colors eventually, would have helped had Geobra said something.
-

I was refering to the four mentioned sets.
But even if I wasn't ... that's me!

a lot of talk was about why geobra made this set with such easily obtainable elements. Geobra has pioneered in the development of sophisticated molding technology that why give us such dated parts that are everywhere. Why not make the same set with interesting rare parts. Such as the hair. how many jagged hairs does one need. Now lots of non-hat ones or modern legs. But all this was just to up-date the set not really use it for a submission for voting. I think more people wanted a religious pack of monks.
-
That museum looks awesome!
When these sets are offered, are their parts usually available through DS too? And does anyone know if the half-timber buildings are ever cheaper through DS orders than buying the sets? I really want of these Medieval houses!
Who wants to get stuck with 100,000 unsellable peasant sets.
I'd like to be stuck with them!
-
great.. beefeater comming back through the figures series 3.. and now the husar guards!
-
Very nice selection, especially the western school house. I've wanted that one for a long time.
-
The parts are available from DS but it's more expensive to make one up that way than to buy the set. It's also difficult to get all the parts at any one time.
I am really glad the museum is coming, there are parts there that I really want and are very useful for castle builders. I'm wondering about the school set - it may not be in the blue but some other color.
-
I hope the school comes in a neutral natural color and it has the important accessories, bell, small bell w/gavel and I could use the base plates for a lot of the building we already have.
I sure want to find out about the klickes, wouldn't it be the first time in a classic edition?
-
if the Hussars have old-type legs, will leave them to our collector friends but if they have updated legs with riding boots AND pin stripes...I'll buy them just for their legs
-
they could do the school in riverdale station red... would look more like a schoolhouse
-

You surely don't mean... you want them with speedodad-legs?? :o Hussars with speedodad-legs??!! :omg: :0
If so, I think you might need some time off in "the asylum"(*)! :P
(*): I've recently opened up an asylum for klickies with mental issues, Clownface-Hadoque (a split-off personality of my avatar) is momentarily the 1st patient there.
-

Ah, okay. I thought maybe some cost would be saved from the lack of packaging and such. Thank you!

:wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:
-
I'm thrilled with all of these, whatever anyone else thinks :)
I've been trying to get the advertising kiosk for years and have never been able to afford what was being asked for one.
Like Bonnie said, there was no way I would ever be able to afford the schoolhouse, but now I hopefully can.
However at the moment, the museum is what excites me most - that roof and those arches will make great additions to my Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade and they are in Germany in June, so in time for Kirkbean at the end of July :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

You surely don't mean...Hussars with speedodad-legs??!! :omg: :0
(*)
speedodad's legs with tattooed red stripes and wearing riding boots? You must be missing speedodads...you'll have to wait for the new red indians
-
I've always loved those Hussars. This is more great news.
-
Don't like this at all, it is devistating :'( :'( :'(
-
Why do you say that Damo?
-
Don't like this at all, it is devistating :'( :'( :'(
This is why I really think we should vote in six or seven themes and choose an item out of each theme to hand in as suggestions next time. Two times in a row now, it's been just western, victorian, and medieval. And though I'm thrilled with the western stuff, it's not fair to collectors of pirates, modern, etc. to never get a chance to have something they want.
-
Why do you say that Damo?
It's just ruining the history for me, and makes it hard to decifer between these and the originals if they are unboxed, thus ruining value.
And then we'll have another round of jokers on ebay, twisting their adverts to fool people.
I haven't bought any of the last lot, and I shant this time either. I think we should just stick to small add on things, for example the barrel, but also trees and things that are still in demand, but aren't just recking the heritage.
These sets are so far gone now that they should not return, only if they show noticable differences to the originals (then I would probably buy them)
Damo :)
-
I would agree with having things that are slightly different eg different colour from the originals, as the victorian car is, that way they could not be passed off as original items.

I understand your point, Damo, but these re-issues will give younger and less "wealthy" collectors the chance to own some of the loveliest things Playmobil has ever produced too, and WITHOUT having to pay UTTERLY RIDICULOUS prices on certain sites...
I for one don't care the least about the buy/sell value of my "classic" sets, I have them and I'm just glad a lot of other collectors will have a realistic chance to own them too, and I'd love it if those scalpers' market crashes, the sooner the better imho!!!
About the "Playmo heritage" : I don't think a couple of re-issues will tarnish that. :)

I completely agree with this!
I also think Playmobil has these issues in mind too, therefore, the new bakery and western sets didn't have clickies, the car was a different color and the barrel ... I don't know is it identical?
Scoundrels on ebay there will always be, wether there is or not new re-issues. they will always find the way to mess up with people. Sad but true :(
I don't agree with voting in categories though. From our point of view this is for collectors but this is most of all business for Geobra, and Im saying this in a good way, not criticising Geobra :) so they will re-issue what they think will sell the most and what they know they can do.
MY :2c:
-
i totally understand your point, Damo and i must admit i feel the same way too. However these re-releases don't come in boxes and if you own the original box somehow you still preserve the value of the set, i guess
sometimes i feel totally stupid when i see a retired set being re-released as an add-on (if i bought it before) - however for the most part my rare sets are purchased mib and that's where the story changes
as the Hussards' horses - i assume they'll come with original legs and horses, nothing 'new style'...otherwise it wouldn't be a re-issue/collector's item (i guess only the plastic will be more sofisticated)
-
i would also guess that the hussars will not come with the little girl either... just the guards, and it might be possible that they do them without horses as infantry add ons... with the blue leader separate from the 3 pack... at least thats the way i'd do it from a financial/production/sales perspective.
-
Even when I paid so much for the museum, or the barrel, bakery, I'm so happy with the re-editions, as for the sellers, :hehe: them, :P :P :P I paid 50 dells for a barrel once, hopefully no one will again!!!!!
Remember the Maltese knight remade for the Malta workers? Well doesn't have the same value as the real ones, is not an original Maltese knight... Same thing with this new sets, will allow us to stack what we love, steak building with hard to find pieces... But yeah maybe get hard to sell some old sets... I don't think is case.
Love the re-editions, and what may come!

Some bloomin good points, there! :high5:
Have you changed my views I wonder ^-^

I could care less about resale value as I am not using Playmoibl as part of my investment portfolio, real-estate my boy, they cant build it anymore  Plastic is easy to get ;)
Now bonnies point is what I too am talking about. The Medieval tudor house has now been done in Red, Blue, White, Yellow, Bakery, and now museum. What about all the other themes like the ellusive classic pumper truck Bill can tell us all about. Or adding to Alex's and Emma's 5300 collections?? what about all the western fans that have been patiently waiting and now we get something that is too similar to something recently retired. Yes a few parts are good but it is not a whole lot of rare parts
What about other themes?
-

i don't think we're necessarily talking about economic value but rather a sentimental value (i.e. the effort a rare set cost you to get and the joy you felt when you finally got it, etc)
-

but if it is feeling you are talking about the over-inflated price of such sets is denying large groups of under-privileged households the ability through no fault of there own to acquire such joys you speak of
-
What a shocking news!!! :D ...I love all these references and this will stop all fraud sellers making their own profit, and giving Playmobil fans what they deserve, I'm so so happy and can't wait for their release in next months!!!
Actually just can't wait to see pics of the new re-releases!!!
Greetings, and let's all playmobil fans enjoy this great news!!!
;)
-

i've nerver said i don't want to share the feeling :P
i personally think it won't be the same as the item will no longer be that 'unique' once it can be massively available worldwide
anyway...it's MIB collector thing, i guess ;D
-

Exactly. We only get four or five a year. After ten years, we'll have gotten 40 or 50 re-releases... would it be fair if they are all victorian, western, and medeival? In each vote, there are some others that come very close to making the top ten, but don't quite make it, and then the next year, they are passed over again. At some point, collectors of fire, police, city, zoo, pirates, circus, farm, space, etc. need a chance to ask for something.
-
I don't have any of these old sets, but I can definitely see what some of you are saying about re-releases possibly tainting the originals. So... I was wondering - do these new ones come in the exact same boxes (or bags) as their older counterparts? Or are they updated? I think that they should be updated so as not to take away from the original sets.

Ya lets made all the MISB theme collectors angry

plastic bags for re-releases

the re-releases are typically in bags, not boxes like the original, and often are not the complete sets as the original versions. Like a house without klickies, or something like that.
-
Alright. Well that shouldn't take too much away from the originals then! :)
-
Alright. Well that shouldn't take too much away from the originals then! :)
it most certainly does take away for the value in the short run. If 100 people (who are crazy addictive adults) are looking for that old Victorian car made in 198x and there are only 10 old ones available then the price reflects this on auctions. Now throw 1000 new, but different colored one on the market and see what happens to the auction price.
The scalpers at first will try to take advantage of this but it looses steam fast.
In the long run the price for the original will recover, it is truly rare after all, especially MISB. Now for some reason the new version gets a collectible value also with the 2nd timers such as myself.
-
People please watch the language and be tactfull.
There are post we must edit.
Thank you!

nobodu forces anyone to buy anything of ebay. but to be honest, sometimes ebay is cheaper as pm from thr DS. atleast i got a few spare parts of ebay and saved a fortune .. u cant say, ebay is always more expensive..

As happy as I am with the "Medieval" re-releases, you're absolutely right, and I for one would like to see a few of the other themes-like fire and rescue- among the re-releases next time. :)

the old space theme would be cool.. but i dont think they would make much money out of this..

I am extremely excited by the re-release of the museum - please let the shining knight be part of it!
These re-issues will never please everyone.
I think we should be grateful that our suggestions are being considered and that the high sales of the previous selections give credence to us, the collectors.

sure but one theme is dominating and if you look at it they are repetitive in nature, Medieval building. I am not complaining about the choices and I have bought many of all, but there are a lot of other themes
Grateful that we are supporting a company that is being told by its fans for years now "hey you know that old mold you have collecting dust, there is this large group of people with cash who would be willing to buy those if you re-made them" ;)
-
I'm personally thrilled with these releases! I'll be buying at least one of each of these. I do hope that the advertising column comes with the klickies.
While I do think that these re-releases will diminish the prices of the originals to a certain extent, the original MISB sets will still retain most of their value. While I can understand that some MISB collectors hoping to profit are upset about these re-releases, they do offer the average Playmobil enthusiast a chance to purchase these sets at reasonable prices and play with them, which is what they were originally intended for. Personally, if you're buying toys as an investment, you've missed investing 101. Stocks, bonds, real estate, precious metals, and fine art are the way to go, not plastic toys.

it won't be too long, once they finish re-releasing the medieval sets then all the re-releases will be from other themes
-
I'm excited about these releases but by the time they finally reach the USA, I'm sure I'll be over it. :-\
-
it won't be too long, once they finish re-releasing the medieval sets then all the re-releases will be from other themes
Then they will re-release the Vikings, Romans and Egyptians. Then, by that time, there will be a whole new generation of enthusiasts and they will start with the Medieval sets all over again. ;D
-
There has been a few old style construction vehicles rereleased in the past few years. I don't know the numbers but if I had to guess, the medieval theme is probably been their best seller over the years. You know PM is going to release something they know will sell.

are these just suggestions or one of these will make it to be realesed?
i'am happy with the museum :) about the others not sure ,if they realese them in different colours that would be good ,for variety but not identicall ,so you can tell which is originall and is not , as the car ;)

I think that all of them are confirmed as future releases. The letter was from Playmobil directly. :)
-
All four items will be released.

All four items will be released.
do you know if they will be with the same colours? :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:
-
i guess the husars and the museum will be same color.. otherwise its wouldnt fit at all.. but a pink husars helmet would be cute..
-
they could do green hussars with a black coated commander
-
As far as I know, the colours won't be different from the originals.I wouldn't get my hopes up for any figures to go with the museum or the advertising column, though.
-
I think so too.
Though, I hope the Husards set do come WITH clickies
Imagine we get just 4 horses?
-
That would be quite funny.
-
If it's just the four hats, I'd be ok with it, lol!!! ;D
-
i wanted the merry men's feast :hmm:

i wanted the merry men's feast :hmm:
That would be cool, for sure... But I've been wondering recently whether re-designing the sets would be better, for the sake of collectors. Say, if a newer Robin Hood themed set were to be released with new figures and accessories - would that be better? I think it would be refreshing and cool, yet it would allow for the maintaining of the collectability and specialness of the older sets.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Now that would be really funny!

Let's just be happy that they re-release some of the better sets ever produced at all, be a little "thankful", and patiently wait what the next years will bring...It IS quite difficult to accomodate everyone's tastes in one or two goes of re-releases.
-
Another Steck house is music to my ears , epsecially one with a rare roof and steck arched walls, just superb considering the prices these parts command these days !!!
The Hussars are just gorgeous, i think i will start saving from now to get a few hundreds of them
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
PS: Time to get some fresh armour for my Nuremberg guards uh .... ;) ;) :D :D :D :D    :loco: :loco: :loco:

It is released in Germany around May, usually a few weeks at forehand pics leak out on the German forums.
But now with the facebook-thing and Mrs. Ermann to inform us, we might get to see pics earlier...

i look for information on klikywelt but i don't find that on the novelty ... sure some people don't want everybody learn that ....
What??? (http://www.schweinchenforum.de/images/ferkelmodern1024/smilies/hau.gif)
It's since march 1st in the PCC category: [LOOK/KLICK HERE!] (http://www.klickywelt.de/viewtopic.php?f=85&t=48336). Please try the search [»Suche«], if you don't find something...
That's not correct: we want to share informations in the klickywelt! Please don't put here any false rumors.

hello Zugpferdchen ; i just write i coudn't find the post in klikiwelt , when i look at the information i look on the "Playmobil Neuheiten" , i don't know "pcc" section and it was difficult to guess . Without the fact lots of people sell theses hats in ebay i won't know this good new .
Maybe i write too fast : i ask 5 person in ebay why they sell all theses hats and if playmobil will do it again like the french grenadier : nobody tell me the truth ... That why i write people want to sell their hats fastly before everybody know they will be sold again for cheap . I'm sorry if you believe i write as if klikiwelt hide volontary some informations .
Thanks for the way to process to find information but we had to know what we have to find and it's sometimes difficult ... Unhapilly i don't speak german , my translator with german is very very bad and i have never been in pcc post . I goes rarelly on your forum , i post my blog to share my picture as a friend and i have immediatly a problem with Cooster .
Please don't make me moral about false Rumors ... When cooster69 put the silly apple of D2 on my post when i was just presenting my blog on klikiwelt (and it stay a long time before someone decided to remove this rumor and false communication) , nobody remove it and i have to write to the moderator 4 times before you remove it , everybody has the time to read his nonsense and diffamations, for me i doesn't have to ask : it was an calomny and the moderators have to remove that immediatly . (this picture has been on a lot of forum and i was very sad to see the objectivity of people after this sad story of malone pirates ) .
