We were talking in another topic about how there are now two different ice cream carts, so I wanted to convert one of mine to a pizza cart. This isn't highly customized or anything, but thought I'd share what i came up with. I haven't removed the stickers, because I think I will end up with this cart selling ice cream, and the new pink one will sell pizza, and have custom stickers on the cart. Here is the pizza chef with his cart, also selling soft pretzels:

And while I was at it, I thought I would show the dressed hamburger and hot dog over here at the hot dog and sandwich cart:

Now I just need a place to sell my cotton candy:

I will update this thread as I make further adjustments to these.

those look awesome! did you make the hamburger and hot dog yourself?
i have decided those mystery things in the white "bag" are peanuts...not popcorn! ha! the color is totally wrong for popcorn! doughnut holes, maybe! i will NOT accept them as popcorn. :hissyfit:
i wonder if PM has an official name for that mystery substance!
your carts look yummy!
-
peanuts?
-
Haha, this thread makes me hungry! Cool ideas! :)
-
I can picture these carts in your zoo, bb ;D
-
peanuts?
yes, the picture of the hot dog cart...that thing the guy is holding...that comes in all sorts of sets....i declare that they are peanuts! ha! :hmm:
-
Those are great. I think the hotdog cart would be the better starting point for cotton candy. If you take the section towards the seat and box it in with a clear box it might look about right.
-
I'm thinking of re-painting my other Christmas market stand to sell cotton candy... I can take actual cotton balls and dye them pale pink and blue, make little clear bags, and have bags hanging up for sale, plus of course the stuff on sticks. Or like you said the hot dog cart might be good, create a clear plastic box, with a big bowl... I'll need to look for another hot dog cart, though!
Btw, I went to TRU and bought the new ice cream cart, plus some useful stickers from Michael's. So updates coming soon!
-
Ok, updates as promised. First, I have added some things to the ice cream cart, and combined some elements from the new one with the old one.

An overview

Advertising stickers added to the umbrella
(http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/yy289/bonniebeth2/100_0212-1.jpg)
Stack of cones from the other ice cream cart, plus an added sticker
(http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/yy289/bonniebeth2/100_0216-1.jpg)
And the best part.... now selling six flavors of ice cream!
-
And now the pizza cart, made from the new 5962 ice cream cart.

An overview, with the pizza chef F?gure as the vendor

A view of what he's got for sale
(http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/yy289/bonniebeth2/100_0221.jpg)
I cut a big pizza sticker in half and then added the lettering on top of it.
And another added sticker.
Now I just need to find a place for this guy to sell his cotton candy!

Great customs, BB, simple, well thought out and effective.
Your sellers could sell hot dogs and hamburgers in the winter (and roast chestnuts, too) and ice cream and candy floss in the summer.
-
i have seen cotton balls in pink and blue and other pastel colors....look around and i bet you can find some without having to dye them :)

I was wondering about this and thinking they probably exist. I'll see what I can find!

Ok, you're right. In american english we call it cotton candy. :P
-
Looks great with the added images
-
You're just adding more weight that the vendor has to pedal around!
But no, haha... cool stuff!
-
Thanks, guys!
-
You could use the clear Guinea Pig cage or aquarium from DS to house your cotton candy bb. ;) Great work on these customs!

That's a very good idea, BB! There's also the clear top from this: http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-80-8352 which I have several of. I need to work on that.
-
Oh yeah that display case is perfect - the hole in top even is correct. Just need a silver bowl to put into it maybe
-
Yes, the hole is great! Now I need to find a silver bowl, and I'll need something in the center of the bowl.... maybe the plunger cap (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-25-9960).
